Ceramic elliptical metal halide lamps are available in two sizes. Some brands make them the same size as European Son lamps and as they run on the same control gear they are a direct replacement. The other are a smaller envelope designed to the same dimensions as the low wattage metal halide lamps made by Venture/Sylvania/BLV and Osram.
ELectrically both types are the same it is only the outer jacket that is different. |
