About R7s Ruby Slim Quartz infra-red lamps

What are these lamps used for.

There are two main uses for these lamps one is space heaters and the other is paint drying. These were the first iteration of heat lamps after the ruby sleaved lamps and were considerably cheaper cheaper than the gold lamps. They are interchangable with gold lamps and for many uses it does not matter if gold or ruby lamps are used.
