Superlux light bulbs, have an opaque back and a thin phosphor coated front. This give approximately 30% more light in a forward direction this makes them ideal when used above a working area. Technically these lamps are could be exempt from the new EUP ban if they are classified as reflector lamps, it is not clear yet wether they qualify under that definition.
