Crompton Lamps Warranty – UK & Ireland Consumer Claims

If you have purchased Crompton Lamps products in the United Kingdom or Ireland and wish to make a warranty claim, please review the information below carefully and contact Crompton Lighting directly.

Step 1 – Check Operating Conditions

  • Product must be operated in accordance with information supplied on the packaging, product label, or Crompton Lamps website.
  • Burning period must not exceed 4,000 hours per year.
  • Ambient temperature must remain within -20°C to +30°C unless otherwise stated on packaging.
  • Relative humidity must not exceed 80% RH or exceed the IP rating where applicable.
  • Lamp must be operated in an open luminaire with minimum 10mm spacing around the body (excluding cap).
  • Switching cycles must not exceed the stated limit (defined as switching on/off at 30-second intervals).
  • Electrical supply must remain within 230V ±10%.

Step 2 – Warranty Conditions

  • Warranty is valid only within the UK and Ireland.
  • Warranty period begins from the date of purchase/invoice prior to installation.
  • Proof of purchase is required.
  • Faulty product must be returned with postage paid by the sender if requested.
  • Warranty provides a one-for-one replacement product only.
  • Crompton Lamps reserves the right to repair or replace with a similar or better performing product.
  • No labour, removal, re-installation or consequential costs are covered.
  • Crompton Lamps may inspect the installation and test products to determine cause of failure.
  • Final decision on warranty validity rests with Crompton Lamps.

Exclusions

  • Damage due to misuse or negligence.
  • Failures caused by Acts of God or Acts of Terrorism.
  • Incorrect installation, non-compliance with standards, or incorrect voltage supply.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

Important: Warranty claims must be made directly with Crompton Lighting. Please do not return products to your retailer unless advised.
