Information about large decorative lightbulbs
The lamps are usually used with a pendant fitting and they simply run off 220-240V main supply. Some are dimmable with a compattible dimmer.
These lamps are designed for decorative purposes and as such they will usually be placed in line of sight. As such they would be blinding if they were any brighter so if you want brighter lamps then there is no need for them to be decorative. The normal way to use these lamps is inconjunction with some resessed anti-glare downlighters in the ceiling that will provide working light on a surface whilst not giging any glare. Then these lamps will be used as as a display leaving the "hidden" lighting to do the work.
