If you have purchased Sylvania lighting products in the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland and wish to make a warranty claim, please read the information below and contact Sylvania directly. No product registration is required — your proof of purchase or invoice is sufficient to validate a warranty claim.

Warranty Periods by Product Type

Warranty Conditions

  • Proof of purchase (invoice or receipt) is required; warranty starts from the date on the invoice.
  • Products must be installed and operated according to the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable standards.
  • Products must not have been modified, misused, painted or damaged outside normal use.
  • Operating conditions (temperature, humidity, voltage) must not exceed product ratings.
  • For LED products, the warranty applies where the product exhibits defects in materials or workmanship exceeding normal failure rates.

What the Warranty Covers

  • Defects in materials or workmanship that exceed normal failure rates.
  • Sylvania may repair, replace or reimburse at its discretion.
  • Replacements will be of equivalent performance where possible.

Exclusions

  • Damage caused by drops, abuse, misuse, abnormal use or acts of God.
  • Exposure exceeding specified IP ratings or installation conditions.
  • Costs for removal, re‑installation, labour or consequential loss.
  • Sample products, consumables, batteries unless otherwise specified in product documentation.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

To make a warranty claim, notify Sylvania in writing and return the defective product within 30 days of discovering the fault. You must provide proof of purchase, installation date, location and usage details. Sylvania reserves the right to inspect the product and installation to determine the cause of failure.
